It's a .......

Yesterday we had an ultrasound appointment to *hopefully* find out if we are having a boy or girl. It's been hard for me to wait this long, so I was very excited to find out. Well, our darling decided to be shy/modest and keep it's gender a secret just a little longer. :) (Hopefully this isn't a sign that this baby is inheriting my and Todd's stubborness) I was a tad bit dissapointed at first, but really, it's hard to be upset when we got to watch our baby move for 15 minutes. It was so precious. This was the first time Todd has seen the baby so it made a very special Valentines Day

Stay tuned for the gender....

12 Weeks

The 1st trimester is over. Wow. I'm seriously hoping this means my daily goodmorning "conversations" with the toliet bowl will end soon. :) I'm also hoping that in just 2 weeks we will be able to find out if we will be parents to a daughter or son. Anyone who knows me, knows I am horrible at waiting. I always want to give people their presents before their birthday and although I love surprises, I'm not good at waiting for them. So, this wait has been a challenge for me. Last night one of my sweet players gave me a baby gift because she was so excited for me. It was a little newborn swim suit. And she gave me one for a girl and one for a boy. So precious. They both are adorable!

Some thoughts on pregnancy so far:

1. It's crazy how quickly the baby develops. At 5 weeks, my baby's heart was beating. At 6 weeks, we got to see the heart beating on an ultrasound. At 10 weeks the baby has already started moving, even though he/she is only as big as a prune. At 12 weeks, basically everything is formed and will just now continue to grow and develop. I'm blown away at how early all this happens. Truly a miracle.

2. Other than being sick, it's sometimes sureal because you can't see or feel the baby.

3. I've never been this tired in my life. Not even when I frequently pulled all-nighters in college and then had to go to practice.

4. I can take precautions and eat healthy but the truth is God is creating this baby EXACTLY how He desires; and in HIS image. Oh, how I rest in this truth.

5. It's amazing the love I have for a being I haven't met or held or touched yet. I love you sweet baby. I can't wait to hold and love on you!
